Matthew’s Mission

Matthew's Mission follows a young boy with a big goal. Matthew has been welcoming Veterans home through Midwest Honor Flight for the past few years. He has been there alongside his cousin, Elsie Honors, who just sponsored a flight which gave him he idea of sponsoring one as well. Matthew wants to pay it further and sponsor a flight at the "Medal of Honor Flight" level of $50,000. In the summer of 2023, Matthew, his father, and Midwest Honor Flight CEO put together a plan and formed Matthew's Mission.

"Please help me rewrite this final chapter of their lives. Our American Veterans deserve nothing less. Equal priority is given to any terminally ill veteran who has never visited their Memorials. If America thought it was important to build a memorial to their service and sacrifice, Midwest Honor Flight believes it’s important for them to visit their memorial before it’s too late."

Veterans on each Midwest Honor Flight Mission have the opportunity to see Arlington National Cemetery to witness the Changing of the Guards along with time at each of the memorials: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Lincoln, Navy, Air Force, and Iwo Jima. All donations are made to Matthew's Mission are donated through Midwest Honor Flight and are tax deductible as allowed by law. Midwest Honor Flight is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit (EIN: 82-0995083).
